Customize text in the financial statements

You can use the formatting toolbar to customize text in your financial statements.

Click inside a text area in your financial statement and the formatting toolbar will open.

The table below lists the formatting toolbar buttons and their functions.

Buttons

Description

Styles []

Apply a style to selected text or paragraph.

The default font size for each style is as follows:

  • Paragraph - 11pt

  • Heading 1 - 27pt

  • Heading 2 - 22.5pt

  • Heading 3 - 18pt

  • Heading 4 - 13.5pt

  • Heading 5 - 10.5pt

  • Heading 6 - 9pt

Bold, italic, underline []

Bold, italicize or underline selected text.

Font color, highlight []

Change the color of a selected text or a paragraph or highlight selected text or paragraph.

Note: Changes to the font colour are not applied to placeholders until you replace all placeholders in the document.

Clear formatting []

Remove all formatting for a selected text or a paragraph and revert to the default.

Bullets, numbering []

Add a bullet or number list

List conditions []

Add visibility conditions to lists.

Indent []

Indent selected text or paragraph.

Alignment []

Align selected text or paragraph.

Link, unlink []

Add or remove a link.

Calculator []

Add a custom calculation in the text section.

Data link []

Add data links.

Text placeholder []

Add text placeholders.

Field placeholders []

Add field placeholders.

Field placeholders are drop-down lists for selecting:

  • a staff member

  • a client contact from Cloud

  • a date

The date format selector supports long, medium and short date display formats (for example, March 11, 2026; Mar 11, 2026; or 3/11/26).

Logo [] Add a logo in the text section
Note reference [] Add a note reference.

Horizontal line []

Add a horizontal line

Image []

Add an image

Table []

Add a table

Special character []

Add a special character in the text section.

Page reference [] Add a page reference.
  • To ensure there are no page breaks in a text area when printing, select More actions () and enable Keep Together.

  • Keep Together does not prevent page breaks if the text area is longer than a full page.
