Import the client's data

OnPoint Audit SLG is best used alongside Caseware Working Papers, which allows you to view your client’s data while completing audit procedures.

To use this method, you must first import the client data into a Working Papers engagement if it is not already present.

To import client data into Working Papers:

• Import from accounting software

• Import from working papers software

• Import from ASCII or Excel

If possible, we recommend opening Working Papers on one monitor and OnPoint Audit SLG on another, or using Windows’ Snap Assist functionality with a single-monitor setup. This arrangement makes it easy to reference client data in Working Papers while completing procedures in OnPoint Audit SLG.

Other import options

We recommend using an open Working Papers engagement to view client data; however, there are other options available for directly importing small datasets.
