Annotate a procedure or subprocedure

You can annotate a procedure or a subprocedure. For example, to predefine a link to supporting or related documents at specific procedures or subprocedures.

Once you add an annotation, one of the following icons displays on the page to represent the purpose of the annotation:

  • Agrees to (Agrees to tickmark)

  • Comes from (Comes from tickmark)

  • Goes to (Goes to tickmark)

  • Calculation Verified (Calculation Verified annotation)

  • Addition Checked (Addition checked annotation)

  • Link (Link tickmark)

  • Note (Note tickmark)

  • Variance (Variance tickmark)

To annotate a procedure or a subprocedure:

  1. Go to the procedure or subprocedure that you want to annotate, then select the Add annotation icon ().

  2. Enter the information for the annotation.

    1. Select the purpose of the annotation.

    2. Link the annotation to a document.

    3. Enter notes or comments.

  3. Select Save.

    The icon corresponding to each annotation purpose is displayed in the document. If you select the icon, a pop-up displays showing a summary of the annotation.

    The timestamp and username don't show in the pop-up because this is product defined annotation created in the product template not an engagement file.
