Trial balance described

When importing a trial balance from a CSV or Excel file, you must map the fields, so the trial balance data is displayed properly in the engagement. Feld Usage
Account Number

An identifier for the account where the entry has been recorded. Must match the chart of accounts. Examples: "1001" or "Bank Account 1".

Note that this field is used as the unique identifier for each data row in a trial balance.

Account Name

Identifier description for the account group where the entry has been recorded. Examples: "Cash", "Property, plant and equipment".

Financial Group Number

The number for the financial group the account is assigned to in the default grouping structure.

Accounts currently assigned to fields may be reassigned when you import this field.

CY

The current year balance.

Note that if your engagement is externally consolidated, you will see both a Parent balance - CY and a Consolidated balance - CY field. If you assign one of those fields, you must also assign the other.

PY

The prior year balance.

Note that if your engagement is externally consolidated, you will see both a Parent balance - PY and a Consolidated balance - PY field. If you assign one of those fields, you must also assign the other.

PY - 2

The balance for two years prior.

Note that if your engagement is externally consolidated, you will see both a Parent balance - PY 2 and a Consolidated balance - PY 2 field. If you assign one of those fields, you must also assign the other.

The balance for three years prior.
