Tracking my assigned work

CaseWare Cloud makes it easy to get an overview of the work currently assigned to you and to manage your time accordingly. In Cloud, most work is visible from the Activities page, from which you can see Tasks that have been assigned to you, as well as any File Requests you have made for client contacts.

Reviewing your assigned tasks

To view tasks assigned to me:

  1. From the Cloud menu, select Activities.

  2. From the Activities drop-down, choose Tasks.

  3. Select Filter () | Assigned To | Me.

  4. To only view currently open tasks, select Filter () | Status | Open. This will add a secondary filter so that only open tasks assigned to you are displayed.

All of your current tasks are now listed on the Activities page. You can select any task to update its status or discuss it with other team members.

Reviewing your current file requests

If you have made file requests of your client contacts, you can review the status of those requests from the Activities page using a filter.

To view your current file requests:

  1. From the Cloud menu, select Activities.

  2. Select Activities | File Requests.

    Select File Requests from the Activites menu.

  3. Select Filter () | Created By | Me.

    Filter file requests to display only the ones you've created.

  4. To view only the open requests, select Filter () | Status | Open.

A list of the file requests you've created is displayed on the Activities page.

Getting notifications on specific activities

Whether or not you have a role on a specific activity, you can get notification emails about updates or changes made to the activity by subscribing to it.

To control which actions will trigger notifications, you’ll need to configure your personal settings. For more information, see Change notification settings.

To subscribe to specific activities or files:

  1. Ensure you have the Viewer role or equivalent.

  2. From the Cloud menu, select Activities.

  3. Select the Subscribe icon ( ).

The subscribe icon will turn yellow () to indicate you’ve been subscribed to the activity. Select the icon again to unsubscribe.

Reviewing your audit due deliverables

If you have CaseWare Q integrated with Cloud, you can display detailed data about your audit engagements in Cloud, as well as overview page that displays your due deliverablesand the overall number of synced audit engagements whose templates contain signals. To view Q engagement data:

  1. Ensure that you have the Viewer role or equivalent rights for the published Working Papers file.

  2. From the Cloud menu, select Q. The Q overview page is displayed.

  3. Select the number above My engagements with signals to go to a page that lists all of your Q files that have signals.

  4. Select the file for your engagement, and on the detail pane, select More Actions () | Details.

    Select the Details command.
