Assess the quality of your engagements
CaseWare Cloud provides many different methods to summarize information about your engagements and to assess their quality.
Keep track of delays
You can review assigned tasks to measure engagement progress, and to see which tasks are overdue.
To review assigned tasks:
Ensure that you have the Viewer role or equivalent permissions for the client entity.
Select your client entity in the entity selector at the top left side of the page.
From the Cloud menu, select Activities.
Select the Activities menu, then choose Tasks.
Select the Due column heading to sort the tasks by due date.
All tasks for a given entity are displayed, with overdue tasks displayed at the top of the page.
Track incomplete and unreviewed documents
You can track incomplete and unreviewed documents by using workflows. You can create a workflow with a completed and reviewed workstage for any uploaded file, Google file or SharePoint file to help keep track of how many documents are still incomplete and unreviewed.
To create a new workflow:
Ensure you have the Admin role.
From the Cloud menu, select Settings.
- Select Customization | Workflow Management.
Next to the type of item want to create, select (Not Assigned) | Create Workflow.
Enter a Workflow Name and Select Add Stage () to begin specifying the stages of this workflow.
Select the color drop-down ( ) to change the workstage color or drag the ( ) icon to reorder the stages.
To modify an existing workflow:
Ensure you have the Admin role.
Go to Settings | Customization | Workflow Management.
Select Manage Workflows.
In the Manage Workflows dialog, select an applicable workflow stage and select Edit.
Make your changes to the workflow and select OK.
Use CaseWare Time to assess quality
This section describes functionality only available with CaseWareCloud Time, part of the CaseWare Cloud suite.
You can compare active engagements by generating a WIP- As of Engagement report. With this report, you can view the billable time and expense for all engagements recorded from prior or current periods. A detailed or a summary format can be generated. The detailed version includes the specific time and expense entry recorded and the staff who posted the entry. To generate the report,
To compare engagements:
Ensure that you have the View WIP and Billing permission.
From the Cloud menu, select Analysis.
From the Type drop-down menu, select WIP - As of Engagement. If you want to filter further and specify a date range, select WIP- Date Range - Engagement.
From the Group by drop-down menu, select Engagement.
Use CaseWare Q to assess quality
This section describes functionality only available with CaseWare Audit.
Q contains built-in gadgets that provide visualizations to compare your engagements progress and profitability and risk response.

If you are using the CaseWare Audit template, you can use CaseWare Q to automatically feed when deliverables are completed from Working Papers to the Cloud. CaseWare Q has a user friendly interface that displays how many due deliverables are overdue and due this week.
Selecting the counter will provide you more information on which deliverables are overdue or due this week.
With Q-enabled files, you get a more comprehensive view of your engagement file. Opening the Engagement file details from the Files page, you can obtain important metrics to ensure you are providing efficient and effective engagements.
Instead of adding the deliverables in as tasks, CaseWare Q provides the most common audit deliverables from our groundbreaking Audit template. When the Deliverable is signed-off as completed and reviewed in Working Papers, the Deliverable is automatically marked as complete. Any deliverable that is overdue will display in red.
