Within a Caseware Cloud app, a role represents a responsibility within an engagement, such as that of a preparer, reviewer, partner, engagement quality reviewer or any other individual who may be required to sign off on documentation within the engagement.

Caseware Cloud includes several built-in roles. These roles define both the type of access and operations a user can perform in Cloud. There are two types of built-in roles: Staff roles and Contact roles. See Built-in roles for more information.
