To create an Audit engagement:

The entity selector in Caseware Cloud.

  2. From the Cloud menu (), select Audit.

  3. Select New.

  4. Enter a Name for the engagement file. Complete any other optional information and select Save.

  5. In the new engagement file, select the engagement name at the top-left to open the Engagement Properties dialog.

The Engagement Properties dialog expanded in an Audit engagement.

In this dialog, you can modify the workflow status of the engagement, the operating name, year end date and currency. Edit these properties as desired and select Save.

  6. New engagement files automatically open to the Documents page. The Documents page initially contains minimal content; more documents become available based on your responses to various procedures and checklists. For example, by selecting certain responses in checklist documents, you can make the following document folders available in your engagement:

    • Planning

    • Risk Identification and Assessment

    • Risk Response

    • Completion

    • Tax - GIFI
