New SLG forms
OnPoint Audit SLG introduces several new forms to be completed using the financial information imported into Working Papers. Each form includes additional instructions and guidance to assist with completion. By following the engagement workflow, you will be directed to the appropriate forms in sequence.
The sections that follow describe the purpose of each form in detail:
-
1-330 Potential component unit evaluation
This form, excerpted from GASB No. 61, is used to evaluate component units in a financial reporting entity.
It helps determine whether a unit has been appropriately included and properly presented in the financial statements, or whether a potential unit has been correctly excluded in line with GASB guidance.
This evaluation should be completed for each audit, as the identification of component units may change with new GASB pronouncements, statutory updates, or contractual arrangements.
-
1-175 State and local government client affiliates
This form helps auditors identify and document the client's affiliates.
Recognizing these affiliations is essential for financial transparency, assessing independence, ensuring regulatory compliance, avoiding conflicts of interest, and managing legal liability. Since governments often own, control, or hold stakes in other entities, documenting these relationships supports effective oversight, auditing, and public accountability.
For more information, see ET.1.224.020.
-
1-350 Major fund determination worksheet
This form helps auditors determine the entity's major and non-major funds.
Using financial information imported into Working Papers, the completed form ensures that data is accurately presented in the Financial Statement Schedules. Identifying major and non-major funds is a requirement under GASB standards, designed to enhance financial transparency and provide detailed insight into key government activities.
For more information, see GASB Codification, Section 2200.
